Community Supported Art (CSA)

I Am an advocate for local food and farming. For years now I have supplemented my rockstar income with different organic farming jobs. All the farms I’ve worked for use a model called Community Supported Agriculture (CSA). The basic idea is that you as a consumer of farm grown food pay a farmer before the season begins. In exchange for your money you receive a box of vegetables (or fruit, coffee, meat, eggs…) once a week for the entire growing season. You are sharing the risk of a successful crop that season with the farmer and become a partner (member) of the farm. If locust come and eat all the asparagus, you don’t get asparagus in the box. If there is an abundance of strawberries, you get a belly full and a packed freezer.
I am proposing a new model called Community Supported Art (CSA). The idea is the same. We share the risk and excitement of creating my new album together and when it’s done you get a signed copy. You will nurture this seed and watch it grow into something amazing!
There is no guarantee that we will make our goal. There is no guarantee in anything. I Am on the train to California and taking the risk. The train tracks have melted behind me and I will owe the money whether I reach my crowd-funding goal or not. Hop on board with me. Let’s go on a journey together.
