ENJOY A MUSIC VIDEO OF MY SONG CARAVAN FEATURING OWNER EDDY NIX ON THEREMIN PLUS A HARMONIUM SOLO AND A MARIONETTE PUPPET BREAK DANCE. A FAIRLY TYPICAL NIGHT HERE
Driftless Books & Music is housed in the Forgotten Works Warehouse. It is also home to the Bad Axe Beer Museum, The Driftless Centre for Slow Media, and an organization I co-founded called the Wisconsin Roots Music Cooperative (WiRM Co-op). It's an old warehouse that once stored tobacco. Now it holds 500,000 books and hosts close to 200 performances a season. It is a haven to creative outcast types. It is a stop for wanderers. It is a place to go when you seek knowledge, wisdom, insight, and randomness. Synchronicity is on high in this place. It is sitting smack-dab in the middle of a swirling energy vortex. I live a block away.
I love this place. It is a place where people listen. It is a place where it is encouraged to think critically. Some day they may say, "Driftless Books... that was where the revolution began."
I Hope to see you tomorrow for our live recording of the Natty Nation acoustic performance. Bring your hula-hoops and fly your freak flags high and let's get Irie.
MAKE AMERICA READ AGAIN!
